🚀 Marijuana Software Update – May 19, 2025

We’ve rolled out some important improvements and fixes to make your experience smoother and more accurate:

• 📦 Improved Package Display: Fixed an issue where packages imported as Pounds and Ounces were displaying incorrectly on the Products and Package Management pages. All weights should now appear correctly and consistently.

• 💰 Accurate Profit Margins: The profit margin calculations on the Add Jar pages were off—we’ve corrected the math so you can rely on the numbers when pricing your products.

• 📊 New Closing Summary Report: Need a quick overview? We've introduced a streamlined Closing Summary report that shows only the totals from your Closing Report for faster, easier end-of-day review.

• 🧬 METRC Import Fix: Resolved a bug where some METRC packages were incorrectly classified as HEMP. They’ll now import with the correct designation.

• New Rec Useable Marijuana Sales Limit
  The new recreational limit is increased to 2 ounces. 
   
• Route Direction not Required on Deliveries
  It is no longer necessary to input turn by turn driving instructions when creating deliveries. 
   
• Retiring OMMPOS website
  Beginning in 2022 we will begin using the new app websites

Stock Overselling Warning

We adding a warning to the sales screen to prevent selling more inventory than is available. 

Delivery Warnings

We added better error feedback when placing a delivery order doesn't go through METRC as expected. 

We posted an update this morning to fix the following issues

• Adding products to order screen performing slowly. Fixed
• Late afternoon timecard clock-ins were not updating the Clock in/Clock out button. Fixed
• Editing timecard data added 1 hour to start and end times. Fixed

OMMPOS has had a long running bug on our sales screen where the system would add a penny too much or calculate taxes and be a penny short. We have fixed this issue. It may be necessary to reenter your product prices for products where this issue is happening.

We have applied this update to regular OMMPOS today and will update Private Cloud customers tomorrow. Stand Alone Backup Server customers should give us a call to schedule an upgrade. Please give me a call with any questions. - Raja (971) 276 - 3371

We fixed the METRC Pre-roll button. A recent METRC change requires specifying a Room when creating a new package. The pre-roll button will now create a default room for your dispensary if one has not already been specified.

A recent update began showing employee email addresses instead of names. We noticed that many email records were using the same email address. Each employee should enter a unique email address. This bug has been fixed.

UPDATE: 2/25/2021 11:52 AM : The update created a problem importing packages this morning. This issue has been fixed.

We posted an update to increase the speed of handling package informarion in OMMPOS. This should improve functionality on the Products and Metrc Intake pages. We will be updating Private Clouds at close of business Thursday and scheduling appointments to update Backup Servers. Please let us know if you have any questions or encounter any issues.

A major update is scheduled for tomorrow Monday November 2nd

• Correction to HEMP & CBD Taxation. OMMPOS has been mistakenly including HEMP and CBD only items in tax reports. This may have resulted in an inflated tax report. This error has been corrected as of 10/1/2020. Quarterly returns filed before this date should be refiled. 
• Correction to the Caregiver Sales Limits. Our understanding of the new OLCC rules was not correct. We set OMMPOS up to limit patients and caregivers to a maximum combined 32 ounces per month. Based on updated OLCC guidance, we have updated this limit to 32oz per month for patients and an additional 32oz per month for caregivers. 
• New Farm Tools BETA available. Our first release of Metrc Farm Tools is publicly available. Manage your Metrc grow compliance directly from OMMPOS
• A recent Windows update has broken FireFox’s ability to print labels. To workaround this issue change your Firefox PDF options to download PDFs instead of opening them in Firefox. 
• New Billing System. OMMPOS uses a new automated billing system. Your bill becomes available from the OMMPOS homepage on the 1st of every month. 
• Office Hours. Customer support is included in your OMMPOS plan. Please call us anytime Monday to Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM with questions. We are happy to help.

We posted an update yesterday to fix a problem that was making the system perform slowly. After the update we received reports of problems with retrieving Metrc data. These issues have also been fixed.

Please make sure your OMMPOS is up-to-date. Clear your web browser by clicking CTRL-ALT-DELETE on your keyboard and clear your cached files. Please give us a call with any questions.

We received a lot of feedback that the API was showing a lot of archived products in your websites. We created a new Web Menu Editor that will allow you to see exactly which products are being displayed through your API and make changes on the fly. To see the new Web Menu Editor

• Go to the OMMPOS main menu
• Click Support
• Click Web Menus
• Click your web menu name
• Click Preview
• Make changs to your API product list
